Nora wellies have to be amongst the best out there, especially the Dolomit and Anton models as they are unlined! I love my wellies and waders, I have 7 pairs of wellies, 3 pairs of hip waders and 3 pairs of chest waders just now, and I'm always looking for more!

hi,my favorite wellies have to be hunters as they are the most comfortable to wear for long periods(including in bed!) and on the rare occaisions when i get to wear wellies outside they keep the heat in better than most other wellies, they also smell great!

Hi, I also love the smell of wellies! I've never tried hunters, but I'd love to get a pair. They are the ones that most people envisage when you talk about wellies, and they come in so many colours!

I'd love to get a nice green or blue pair for myself, and a red or pink pair for my girlfriend

Hi Hunterslicker - it's great to hear that your wife wears wellies with you... Do you get dressed up in waterproofs with your hunters?
What do you do in your wellies? Do you go for walks? Or just messing around?

We like to go on long muddy walks with our dogs, or even when its dry my wife likes to wear her wellies. We both wear our rain cagoules when its raining. We also wear our wellies for some indoor fun and I have recently bought my wife a single textured rubberised riding mackintosh.

the best wellies for me are nora dolomites in green, they are great wellies for farm work and general use. I have several pairs, some for working in and the others for leisure activities. I also have bullseye hoods and argylls. These are really good boots for farm work, although you need to watch them on wet conrete.

The only problem I found with my Noras, is that when its really cold they go quite stiff, as they are made of something that seems to have a fair bit of PVC in it. However they have good grip in the wet (sounds like a car tyre advert )

I have both. Really great wellies and really hot. You won't get cold feet in those. I wear foam moon boot liners in mine too.

I also like wearing wellies on bare feet indoors and out especially noras. as regards flexibility dolomite seem stiffer than the anton range.way to soften them up indoors: fill boots with hot water allow to stand until boots hot to touch, pour water out ,insert bare feet, and enjoy the warm squelching boot feel indoors.

The best wellies? My Hunters Galloway, of course. They are even better than my aigle bennylsport wellies. They are perfect for winter: hot and very confortable.

I agree - green hunters are the best - the classic wellies. Although I don't have a pair myself yet And probably not for a while - I plan to invest in a nice pair of Century 4000 black rubber chest waders first

Nice Photo!

Couldn't agree more, Hunters all the way. I wear them day in, day out (indoors, outdoors and in the city as well as the country).

Latest Hunters are HOT! 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 1
Just taken delivery of neoprene lined Hunter Balmoral wellies and they are amazingly good. Best Hunters I've had and I have a fair collection. They are really dark green, almost look black. Come with two removable insoles for thick or thin socks. They have a brand new sole and a thin red band round the top. I can't wait to take them on a long muddy walk soon.

I got myself a a pair of the most simple hunter wellies available I believe I really like them because they keep my feet dry and they are comfy too. I was a bit afraid that they won't fit my calf but eventually they are all OK.

I so wanted a pair of baby pink Hunter wellies and finally found a pair in my size (US women's size 11, euro 42 or 43)... but, darn, they wouldn't fit over my calf! I have folded them over to where they will fit, and at some point -when I can bear to do it, I will hand sew (with my sailmaker's needle and palm) around the boots, and trim them off.

The nice thing was the donation Hunter made to Breast Cancer research when I bought them.

I wish bootsellers would mention the dimensions of the shaft from the inside heel to the top of the boot, and the circumference inside at the top. It stinks to have large calves!

Oh... my favorite wellies? Brand is immaterial. I have not seen a pair of rubber wellies I haven't liked! LOL! I have 8 pairs of rubber and vinyl boots, and two pairs of rubber moccasins that I have cut down from old boots.

im desperate to get a pair of hunters, i just dont know what size to get. ino its either a 9 or an 8. no shops near me, so i cant try any on.
i want them to fit as good as possible, i dont usually wear anything under wellies. so do the sizes allow for socks and allow abit of room ontop of the actual size or not?

Hey,

If you take a size 9 shoe then go for an 8 in Hunters as they really do allow for thick socks. What type of boots take your fancy?

Jeez, that's so lucky being able to get away with wearing the size 8, you'll get to choose from all those fantastic colours that Hunter think people with bigger feet wouldn't want to wear! I'm a bit fed up with the usual boring green, black and blue they offer in size 10, I want WHITE, I want YELLOW, I want SILVER!!! It just isn't fair!! lol!!

As someone who takes a size 12 I agree they should make some of the hunters boots in larger sizes. Would really like a pair of white or red hunters.

Some good news then...

I'm sure you are probably aware that Hunter are now making some of their coloured bots up to a size 12 once again. Red and Aubergine are already on sale and yellow and merlot will be with us shortly.

As a devout Hunter fan I've managed to get quite a few in larger sizes over the last few years.

Yellow: UK 10 & 12
Red: Uk 9, 10 and 12
B/Blue: Uk 9 and 12
Aubergine: UK 12
Pink: UK 9 & 12
Pumpkin: UK 11
Merlot: UK 11
Aqua Festival: UK 11

If you want go out and buy some larger sized wellies in the UK then I suggest Dobbies Garden center in Cirencester where they have Red, B/Blue, Pink, Aubergine and Pumpkin in larger sizes still.

Good luck with the collection and I totally agree, I wish the boots were made in larger sizes.

I finally got my first pair of Hunters yesterday, a pair or of navy blue originals! They are very cumfy to wear and a good fit as well, in fact they are such a cumfy fit that they would benefit from having a kick off lug on them, getting them off whilst wearing my latex stockingfoot chest waders was a bit of a mission! but then again I suppose they weren't really meant for that, lol!

Re:The best wellies 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 1
just an an update, i managed to stretch the top of my hunters abit(not that much). by putting a deflated ball in the top of my boots and heating up the outside with a hairdrier while inflating the ball, so as the ball expands it pushes and stretches out the rubber because it is heated and therefore more supple. Theres no reason it wont work on other boots.

Plus i found out if your having ttrouble with getting boots on and off, put your foot in a polythene bag and then into your boots, slide in and out with ease.
