Walking your dog is a daily routine for many, many people, but most
don’t make the best of it. By wearing suitable clothing you can enjoy
walking your dog so much more.
The worst thing for most people
is having to take your dog out when it’s raining. Most will see this as
a real chore, and not the enjoyable outing that it can be. Even when
it’s not raining, walking the dog can still be a much more fun
experience with the right gear.
It seems that these days it rains at every festival throughout the
year, no matter what season. Now the rain by no means dampens the
spirits of the avid festival goers, but their enjoyment could be so
much more if they invested in some suitable rainwear for the festival
weekends.
During the summer months, when the animals are let out to pasture, it’s
a good idea to give the farm yard and out buildings and good spring
clean. As you can imagine though, this requires a bit more work than
the average clean.
During the winter months, animals are kept in
houses and not in the fields. This is because the weather is too cold
in the winter for them to be outside. After months of having animals
living in the yard and out houses, where they live and defecate, there
is a definite need to clean up and get the farm clean ready for the
next winter.
Mucking out animals is a
necessary, but a somewhat unpleasant job on the farm. All farm animals
that live in farm buildings defecate in the same area as they live, eat
and sleep. To keep the area clean and dry for the animals, farmers
spread fresh straw on the ground each day. Throughout the day, the
animals in the house will defecate and urinate on the straw, hence
making it mucky and wet again. Horses and cattle generate the most manure, and must be cleaned out most often.
The beach is a great place in the summer, but even better in the winter. The sea can be really impressive in a windy winters day, and the beach can look totally different in the rain. Waterproof over trousers can be worn to protect your legs and lower body from the wind, rain, and mud. They can be warn when it’s raining to stop your legs getting wet, or when you are doing dirty/ wet jobs such as pressure washing, or when walking through mud or thick, wet undergrowth. It’s generally a good idea to wear waterproof over tousers when you are wearing a waterproof jacket in the rain as the water can run off your jacket and get your legs wet.
